Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh salmon (cut into 4 pieces)
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Grated fresh ginger

Instructions

  1. Allow salmon to sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before cooking. Pat dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, lemon juice, grated ginger, Worcestershire sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch.
  3. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon skin-side down for about 5 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add remaining butter and pour the sauce into the skillet. Let it bubble for about 30 seconds before flipping the salmon again to coat with glaze.
  5. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
